Founding Teacher Network

We are establishing a founding council of about a dozen teachers and school-based educators. Here are ways to belong — you only need one. It is a one-year renewable term with 3–5 virtual calls or emails a year: light effort, big impact.

Ways to belong — you only need one

• You teach in North Carolina, or you did. You know a school and a community from the inside. Bonus if it's not an affluent community.
• You've been the adult who spotted someone. You saw capability in a kid before anyone else did, and you opened doors for them.
• You have deep practical expertise. AIG, CTE, counseling, early college, competitive programs — or years of knowing which kid is going to be fine and which one is about to slip.

Ways to help — pick what fits

• Honest reactions. Look at what we are building and how we talk to students, families, and educators, then tell us what's off. We would rather hear a hard no from you than watch a teacher quietly delete our email.
• Priorities and design. Help us decide what to build first and what to leave alone. We have more ideas than capacity, and teachers are a crucial voice to tell us which ones would actually reach a student.
• The bigger picture. Share your perspective on the state of finding and empowering bright young people in North Carolina — what's working, what's missing, and where kids are falling through.
